Families with children usually struggle to find an extra set of helping hands when it comes to childcare. It's an understandable daunting task, part of the struggle is finding the right Nanny/ childcare provider to look after your child. Before starting the search, your mind is flooded with questions. It is important to realize that your future Nanny/ child care provider will play an important role in your child's life, therefore, who you open your home to matters.
As someone who has been in the child care industry for a decade, I wanted to share a few important tips on how and where to start, therefore, I've made a check list to help families ease into the hiring process.
First figure out your child and your family's needs, are you looking for an occasional sitter or a full, hands-on nanny? What are your wants, needs and expectations from your nanny/ child care provider?
One thing that I wanted to lightly address was the confusion many families have while hiring a child care provider; your nanny is not your house-keeper, I will discuss this in more detail in my future blog, as of right now, you are welcome to download our
childcare interview check list.
